Michelle is a certified Ontario educator with over 25 years of experience teaching at the secondary level across a range of subject areas. Currently a high school Special Education teacher, she brings deep expertise in supporting students with diverse learning profiles and needs.
Michelle has experience teaching in public, private, and international school settings, providing her with a broad perspective on diverse educational pathways. She regularly collaborates with families to navigate school systems and identify effective supports for student success.
A graduate of Queen’s University, where she earned undergraduate degrees in both Kinesiology and Biology, and Brock University (Bachelor of Education), Michelle has also held leadership roles such as Department Head and has contributed to curriculum development initiatives. Her extensive professional learning reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based strategies for students with varied learning styles.
Michelle is passionate about creating individualized, practical solutions that empower students to build confidence and independence. She has a particular appreciation for students balancing academics with demanding extracurricular commitments, drawing from both personal experience and her life as a parent.
Michelle offers executive functioning training under the supervision of Dr. Katie Hildyard. She takes a whole-child approach, prioritizing strong relationships and equipping students with the skills needed to thrive both academically and in their broader lives.
