Ms. Nancy Thacker received her Masters in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, and is a registered school psychologist with the Ontario College of Psychologists.  For most of her career she worked for the Halton District School Board, providing comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to students and consultation with school personnel.  For a number of years she also worked on the school board’s multidisciplinary support team, which supports students with particularly complex needs.  Additionally, Nancy has done contract work for ROCK, Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, and several other private practices.

As part of the BPCS team, Nancy provides psychological assessments for school-aged children and adolescents, with a view to understanding their cognitive/learning profile, executive and behavioural functioning, and social-emotional status, as well as making recommendations on how to support each student to reach their personal potential.  Nancy is particularly well-versed in the assessment of Learning Disabilities and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
