Ms. Lauren Cudney

Ms. Lauren Cudney is a Ph.D. Candidate in Clinical Psychology at McMaster University. She is clinically supervised by Dr. Kevin Jones and Dr. Katie Hildyard. She has completed clinical training at several clinics at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic, Behavioural Medicine Consultation Services, Respiratory Rehabilitation, Women’s Health Concerns Clinic) and Hamilton Health Sciences (Juravinski Cancer Centre Psychosocial Oncology, Michael G. DeGroote Pain Clinic). Her research is focused on understanding factors that influence treatment response to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia. She offers assessment and treatment services for adults with a number of presenting concerns including anxiety, mood, stress, sleep, coping with medical illness (cancer, pain, women’s health, and chronic diseases), grief and bereavement, self-esteem, and existential challenges. She uses a client-centred approach that is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, emotion regulation skills, and motivational interviewing interventions.
