Dr. Kim Houtmeyers

Dr. Kim Houtmeyers received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor.  She has been working in a private practice setting since 2001, and previously held positions at Hamilton Health Sciences.  She is also an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Brock University. Dr. Houtmeyers assesses and treats a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety and mood disorders, life stress, and interpersonal/relationship problems.  She has a particular interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and other emotional or behavioural self-regulatory difficulties.  Dr. Houtmeyers offers individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults, drawing upon a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and collaborative problem-solving.
